The British Ministry of Defense announced the purchase of its third Zephyr-S Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. This record breaking aircraft is only part of its contract with Airbus Defence and Space, valued at 13 million British Pounds. This Zephyr-S is unlike any in its class. It surpasses the capabilities offered by a typical aerial vehicle. The aircraft’s performance resembles more of a satellite’s with its ability to fly for 45 days straight at two times the elevation of a commercial plane. Dale E. Van Cor is born and raised in Winchester. He is an inventor working on a better reformed system for nuts and bolts. His goal revolves around a fastener that is the powerhouse of all bolts or nuts. These fasteners will be more dependable than the average bolt or nut making them a better choice. Dale has also shared his invention with a teammate from Massachusetts named Harrison Frye who is a mechanical engineer. Harrison has been using a 3D printer to create a trial run of Dale’s design. Amazingly, when Harrison examined a wave threaded-cap-and tube connection on August 18^th, it was withholding 20 pounds of water current for up to one hour.
